SENIOR SCHOOL

Overview

The Senior School curriculum of The MARK School is customized to balance the Cambridge education concurrent with the GUIDANCE and Enlighten Syllabi. Our senior education aims to bring up virtuous and substantial students competent to qualify for any advanced education program. For grades VI to VIII the curricula surround the parameters focusing on holistic development. The students acquire the opportunity to explore their academic interests in grade VIII. The MARK School senior education is supplemented with thriving extracurricular activities for the desired socio-emotional development of children and extensive sports activities for inculcating the life skills required for the succeeding academic years.

Introduction to O level

In Grade VIII students are given the choice to select the definite line of education by selecting the optional subjects from a diverse range of O-level subjects. The MARK School assists parents and its students in making pivotal decisions through career counseling sessions and seminars scheduled for their last term.

Subject Selection

The students start their journey for O levels in grade IX with high academic fidelity and passion for pursuing their desired careers and subjects. In addition to the compulsory subjects, students choose between pre-medical and pre-engineering groups as fields of their education. Students are also encouraged to select two electives to explore their expertise and interests further.

CAIE Preparation

In grades X and XI the education is entirely confined to the CAIE Exams preparation with keen attention to students’ individual progress and focus on academics. After serving a complete year of the rigorous practice of learning outcomes, past papers, and successful examiner’s reports the students appear for their Pakistan Studies, Urdu, and Islamiyat O Level examination in grade X and appear for the remaining examination in grade XI.

Test Week

The test week scheduled for senior grades provides an opportunity to identify the strengths and weaker areas of students, ensures consistent preparation for examinations, and prevents the anticipated anxiety and stress for ultimate success in O-level examinations.

Academic Assistance Program

Students may need extra help or assistance in any area of academics during their endeavor of O levels. The afterschool academic assistance program helps curb the pervasive tuition culture and aids students with their shortcomings, eliminating the financial hurdles of parents in providing quality education to their children.

Counselling

Counseling at different levels is an integral practice of The MARK School whether it be counseling for behavior development or enhancing career zeal by appropriate subject selections. The counselors assess individual strengths and interests before outlining and suggesting the academic pathway to the desired future.
