ISLAMIC GROOMING
At The MARK School, we are dedicated to providing a well-rounded education that nurtures the holistic development of our students. As part of our commitment to fostering strong character and instilling moral values, we have incorporated an essential segment into our school curriculum known as “Islamic Grooming” comprised of exclusive ENLIGHTEN and GUIDANCE Programs. Islamic Grooming is based upon inspiration from the teachings of the Sunnah (the exemplary practices of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, to emphasize the cultivation of ethical and moral values in our students.
Through this segment, students are encouraged to embrace and practice the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ in their daily lives. The Sunnah encompasses a wide range of teachings, including personal hygiene, modesty, etiquettes of speech, dress, and social interactions. By following the Sunnah, our students learn to exemplify the noble character of the Prophet ﷺ, which serves as a guiding light for their actions and behaviors.
Islamic Grooming also emphasizes the importance of ethical values, which form the cornerstone of Islamic teachings. Our curriculum focuses on nurturing values such as honesty, integrity, compassion, respect, justice, and responsibility. By fostering these values, we aim to shape individuals who are not only morally upright but also conscientious citizens who positively contribute to their communities.
Within the Islamic Grooming segment, students engage in various activities and discussions that promote self-reflection and introspection. They explore real-life scenarios and analyze them through an Islamic lens, evaluating the ethical implications and considering the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ as their guide.
Islamic Grooming extends beyond personal conduct and etiquette. It also incorporates teachings on financial responsibility, emphasizing the ethical aspects of earning, spending, and giving in accordance with Islamic principles. Students are encouraged to develop a sense of gratitude for the blessings they receive and to practice generosity and charity.
