JUNIOR SCHOOL
Overview
TMS Junior school curriculum is designed to nurture students’ curiosity and inquisitive skills to enable them to explore their cognitive, physical, and emotional development.
The students are formally introduced to expansive exploratory and theoretical aspects of academics in the frame of core subjects including English, Urdu, Maths, and Science while probing the development of soft skills with the subjects Social Studies, STEM, Mental Math, and Art.
Islamic Grooming
The dimension of primary education at TMS is entrenched in the teachings of the Holy Quran. The distinctive Junior School curriculum is embedded with the pedagogies to instill the Love for the Holy Prophet ﷺ through GUIDANCE which is based on learning and practicing Sunnah and ENLIGHTEN – The Understanding of Seerah of the Prophet ﷺ. The Islamic Grooming at Junior Level extends to NAZRA teaching as a compulsory subject along with Islamic Studies.
Research and Development Program
Emphasizing the importance of inculcating the values at the rooted level in children, the Junior Curriculum is effectively analyzed and integrated with Ahadith and Quranic Teachings by recognized scholars and researchers at TMS Research and Development Department before publicizing among the students.
Health and Wellness
The health and wellness at TMS are considered integral to emotional and physical growth and academic performance. The school emphasizes more on our children’s emotional and psychological health and development. The thorough counseling sessions and guidance for behavior modification are the continuous practice of TMS to ensure its students’ mental health and desired personality development.
Sports Day
The annual, inter-house event celebrated in January every year at TMS is the most awaited event of the students. The students compete in various track and team sports and demonstrate coordination and flexibility and discipline in team displays. The event nurtures healthy competition, teamwork, and emotional agility from a young age and prepares students for more challenging levels.
Extra Support Academic Program
The MARK School believes in catering to students with varied academic expertise and strives to bring forth excellence in all of its students. The school offers an extra support program comprised of additional resources and supportive classes in students’ academic endeavors wherever required.
Extracurricular Activities
The extracurriculars are a preeminent feature of The MARK School. The students are engaged in diversified interschool and intraschool activities to channel their expertise and skills and to prime the students for the exact future. The extracurricular activities are designed and controlled by the school research and development department keeping forth the character-building and ethical development of children.
Guidance Program
TMS proposes the customized GUIDANCE Program as a constitutive factor of Junior School academics. TMS pledge to the holistic development of the children. The GUIDANCE Program is thematically designed to signify the desired outcomes in students’ characters through various interactive and hands-on activities, home-based tasks, and a keeping strong follow-up on family practices and rear-level implementation.
The school commends no flexibility for students on obligatory Zuhr Prayer. All students at TMS establish prayer in the congregation on the school’s grounds. The Ablution area maintained in school allows students to stay in Tahara’h throughout the day for observing the Sunnah.
No Examination till Grade II
There are no formal examinations held at TMS till Grade II rather the system of evaluation and assessment is based on class performance, homework, assignments, and formative class tests. In grade III the students are introduced to the standardized assessment scheme that includes summative and formative assessments and evaluation of project-based learning.
